The technical details of JPG files
The lossy compression of JPG images typically occurs in the ratio 10:1. This results in a low quality loss. quality. Two types of JPG images are: JPG/JFIF (used for storing and sending photos online) and JPG/Exif (used in a range of cameras which includes cameras that use digital cameras). Due to the way JPG photos are compressed, there is some loss of data and they shouldn't be edited excessively since each edit decreases the quality due to the repetition of the compression pattern. JPG files should be used for final production and loss-free images are perfect to edit. The compression rate of 100 percent is possible however, it will decrease the quality significantly, and it is recommended to limit the compression ratio to 20:1 maximum to preserve qualityand decrease in the number of artifacts that are visible in the image.
